Are You Safe and Secure or a Wage Slave?

Do you realize that most individuals think that having a job is a safe and secure financial option for themselves and their families? Unfortunately, this thinking is what I like to call the illusion of a “wage slave” mentality. Since childhood, we are trained to do well in school, while making good grades. We are also programmed to be a wage slave by  getting what we believe will be a safe and secure job. If we can do all this, then we should have a successful life. However, this is no longer possible for many individuals. This is really a deep-seeded myth that actually TRAPS people everyday into the role of a wage slave even if they do have a high earning and respectable job. From our childhood, we are conditioned to be a wage slave. We are told how to work for others and how to write a resume that will help land us a great job.

Avoid joining the ranks of the Wage Slave

Considering the short term perspective, relying on a traditional 8 to 5  job may be a safer alternative than trying to start up your own business or joining a Network Marketing organization,  but only if you are looking for a temporary flow of stable income. However,as a long term wealth building strategy, getting a job only succeeds in adding you to the ranks of the wage slave.  If you need to be convinced of this truth simply talk to any of the millions of American factory workers whose jobs have been lost to outsourcing to foreign nations.
Is having your own Network Marketing business any safer than having a job? Sure it is!

Take this Freedom Test and see what you think.

1. Do you as a wage slave employee have complete control over the amount of money you can generate?

No, you do not. You can test this if you like, by walking up to the boss, and asking him or her for a 20% pay raise and then watch what happens. More than likely your boss will laugh at you.

2.     As a network marketer, will you have complete control over the amount of money you can generate?

Most definitely, since you are the one who sets the limits. When you want to generate more cash, you can simply go out there and make it your own. You are the only person you need permission from to do so.

3.     As a wage slave employee, do you have complete control of your financial future?

No, not at all. For instance, what if you are fired tomorrow. It can happen what with any unforeseen circumstances, the economy in the state it is in now or even mass layoffs. As a wage slave employee, you are not immune to getting the ax. Corporations are tightening their belts as you read this information. The wisest and most secure thing you can do is use your skills, talents, and abilities to create your own success.

4.    As  a network marketer, can you control your financial future?

Sure, you can, since how much you can earn is no one’s business but your very own. If you need a pay raise, you only need your own permission to make it so.
It is all about control. You determine who holds the strings to your paycheck. Holding the strings yourself, means you do not have to trust that you may not lose your job as a wage slave employee.  As a network marketer, you will work to build something substantial, you will never get a layoff notice from your self and the amount of money you can make is all up to you and your choices.

Be Your Own Boss

Do you know that the biggest reason many individuals have for starting up their own business? It Is Not the want for more income and It Is Not because they can set their own working hours.
FACT: Most individuals will answer such questions by saying they want to be their own boss. It is all about the freedom. The freedom to work when they choose to do so, the freedom of working on what they want to work on, without someone peeking over their shoulder to make sure deadlines are kept and hours worked are productive. They start their own business to cut the chains that bind them to a desk.
Whether you work in a brick and mortar business building or you work from home using your computer, you can set the rules. This is what it is all about. When you work for yourself you can be your own boss and get to MAKE the rules, you are no longer subjected to FOLLOWING the rules of some other taskmaster.

Not too long ago, to be your own boss and work for your self was a bit more risky than it is today. Anyone who wanted to start a business had to make a big investment. Some were even forced to put their house on the line to receive a loan to get them started. Such as it was, it was terribly risky. Many people simply quit their jobs with no sense of a safety net to uphold them. They simply marched forward with a deep seeded hope for success in their hearts and minds.
Fortunately, for all of us, the business world we live in is much brighter. Today, you can be your own boss and work from home using your spare time and still stay with your full-time job, while you build your business. The entry into the world of business is much more accessible for everyone, since the risk is just a few hundred dollars.
To be your own boss and go into business for your self has never been better, since network marketing is spreading far and wide. It is practical and feasible to become successful. You can wake up each morning when YOU want to wake up. You are no longer tethered by your alarm clock. Imagine getting an extra paycheck every month, one you do not have to rush out and spend on food, shelter and bills.

WARNING: To be your own boss also carries some challenges.

Since no one will be peeking over your shoulder to see that you are taking care of business, you will need to do this for yourself. Do you have what it takes to keep yourself focused on any task you need to complete, if someone is not there watching over you?
This type of dedication and commitment is rare. If you do have what it takes, I highly recommend that you consider your options in the field of Network Marketing. You may even surprise yourself with your own success.

QUESTION: If the alarm clock did not wake you up to go to work, would you still get up at that time?
When you commit yourself, you can overcome any type of obstacle in motivation. It really is a small price to pay for such freedom. If you focus your efforts and commit yourself to it, you will reap the rewards in one of the best career options available today.

Law of Attraction is the idea that what you think can influence what comes to you in your life. If you think negative thoughts negative things will come to you. If you on the other hand think positive thoughts good things will come your way.

This idea even extends out to whether you are jealous of a friend’s promotion at works let’s say. Then you may not get your promotion because of your change in attitude. However, if you are happy and positive for your friend then your promotion will come along.

Once you think certain thoughts you put out signals to the universe. The universe answers in the same tone as it receives your messages in. So be careful what vibes you send off to the universe. It is quite sensitive to thoughts and vibrations from people.

This Law of Attraction has magical powers and wondrous possibilities for those of you that learn how to use it to your advantage. For one thing you have to “know” that you will get back what you want eventually for this to work. A little faith goes a long way. Figure out exactly what you want, then learn how to attract only that instead of the opposite of what you want.

Staying focused on your goals in a positive manner is the most successful way of achieving them. If you focus your mind on negative thoughts and complain that you never get what you want, chances are you won’t ever have what you truly want. Remember the universe is answering you in the same vein of vibrations that you give off.

When the universe receives a negative thought or vibration it sends a negative result back to you. When it gets a positive thought or vibration it sends a positive result back to you. You need to stay focused on what you most desire and have faith.

Many people argue this theory and say no,  you don’t ask for all the negatives things that happen to you, while others say that you do. My theory on this is that you will have more good come to you in a positive frame of mind simply because you are more productive in this frame of mind than in the negative.

It won’t hurt to put it to the test anyway. Go around for the next month and have faith, be observant and ask for just what you want. See what happens. Now don’t use this in a selfish way though like you want a million dollars. Make it if a worthy thing that you want. You can turn you negative counterproductive life into a productive fruitful one just by changing your attitude.

If your friend gets a promotions before you do,  be happy for them and have faith that your promotion will come. Don’t be envious and negative about it or you will attract something you don’t really want. It will be in the same vein as your thoughts are in. So use the Law of Attraction in the way it is supposed to be used and you will reap the rewards from it.

Ok, you just joined a fantastic Network Marketing company, you’re all fired up and ready to make your first million! You’ve spent some time getting up to speed on the product,  read through the marketing literature, taken a look at the promotional tools, and set up your replicated web site. You’ve got your lead capture funnel in place, your auto responder locked and loaded, and maybe even have your own domain name. You’ve got all you bases covered right?  Not so fast my friend!  Did you even think about reading your companies terms and conditions agreement? You remember don’t you, that little “I accept” box you clicked when you signed up for your distributorship? That was a legally binding click, you know. The bottom line is that terms and conditions agreements are virtually always going to be in favor of the company, there’s not much you can do about that. You just need to be aware of what your getting yourself into before putting your blood sweat and tears into building a business only to have the rug pulled out from under you on a moments notice. I found a very timely video on Facebook recently that puts the issue in perspective, in a light hearted way, but this is a very serious subject worthy of your attention.

My Story Part 2

In part 1 I chronicled the events of March 17th, the day that iLearning Global announced the closure of it’s network marketing sales force. Picking up where I left off….

On the afternoon of March 17th, I received an panicked email message from David Wood, who was my direct sponsor in iLearning Global. In the email blast sent out to his entire list he urged his supporters to attend a webinar, set to begin in only 30 minutes, and listen to what he had to say. I’ve been conditioned not to put too much credence in messages like this because more often than not, it’s purely sales hype. But in this case this could not be further from the truth.

When the webinar began David was noticeably shaken.  You could hear it in his voice. He began by describing the phone call he received from iLearning corporate just a couple of hours earlier, and relayed his attempt to dissuade the company from executing their new plan. But while David was on the phone with the company representative, the official email notification went out. It was too late. Then David proceeded to let everyone know of his decision to switch company affiliations from iLG to The Numis Network. This seemed unbelievable at first in light of Davids recent rants and critcal review of Numis. But it began to make sense  after listening to the explanation of how he had recently mended fences with Numis and taken the critical review down off of his blog only a few days before the iLG  betrayal. I’m not trying to be overly dramatic here for editorial effect, it was a betrayal in the classic sense. At this point David requested that we believe in him, have faith in his decision, which he later explained was purely a business decision, and join him in building a new team built around the Numis Network. At first I was unsure of whether or not I wanted to be a part of this but Cedric Harris took over the webinar and gave a presentation of The Numis Network that was very logical and compelling. So, I made a quick business decision and decided to join David, Cedric, and the rest of the Numis Organization and begin once more to build a Network Marketing Business.

Will my team follow me? Some will , some won’t. Not everyone has the will, or the resources  to make a snap decision of this nature. But I’m sure most everyone will come around sooner or later. As of today, March 18th approximately 60 people have put their faith in David and followed him to Numis.  I honestly believe that David will be just as successful with Numis as he was with iLearning Global, maybe even more so. I hope that some of that success rubs off on me, hence my decision to follow.

It’s extremely unfortunate when events like this occur. I’m sure there are some of you out there who are gleefully telling everyone within earshot, ” I told you so”! Just last weekend I saw a couple of comments from some industry pundits who predicted the demise of iLearning Global. At the time I didn’t put much stock into what they were saying, but unfortunately this time the pundits were correct. So David will be very busy the next few days working to keep the momentum alive that he has built over the past 6 months. “A goal properly set is halfway reached.” – Abraham Lincoln

Are you smart? Most people aren’t when it comes to setting goals. But if you follow the simple formula that I’m about to share with you, you can make sure that each and every goal you set is accomplished, each and every time. It’s all about the type of goals that you’re setting for yourself, and the methodology you use in trying to reach them.

So what is SMART, exactly?  SMART is an acronym for the five specific requirements of successful goal setting:

1.    S – specific

2.    M – measurable

3.    A – attainable

4.    R – relevant

5.    T – time bound

You see, the reason many of us fail to achieve our goals is because the goals lack these 5 qualities. Let’s explore what this means to you and

S: Your Goal Must Be Specific! If you don’t have a SPECIFIC goal, how will you know where you are on your journey towards it? Instead of saying ‘I want a new car’ try something more like ‘I want a red 2010 Infiniti G37 Coupe. Now you have a picture in mind of exactly what you want to achieve. The very fact that your goal is now clearly defined massively increases your chances of hitting it.

M: Your Goal Must Be Measurable! Don’t just say to yourself “I want to make a ton of money” – make it measurable by picking a number. Now you can track your success, see how far along you are and what you need to do to achieve the success you desire.

A: Your Goal Must Be Attainable! Don’t make your goal so outrageous that you have no hope of reaching it. If your goal is to earn $10,000 a month residual income within 2 months, you might want to lower your sights to a more realistic and attainable level. If in your mind your goal is ridiculously unattainable, you won’t have the drive to achieve it. There’s nothing less inspiring than a goal that overwhelms you and results in taking no action at all.

R: Your Goal Must Be Relevant! If your goal doesn’t get you fired up, start over. Your goal can’t belong to someone else. Saying ‘I want to retire’ is a great goal, but if it means nothing to you, you won’t have any desire to achieve it. Pick something that is meaningful to you and to you alone – forget what anyone else might think.

T: Your Goal must be bound by time! Being time bound guarantees that you will have a far better shot at making your goals and dreams come true. How can you motivate yourself to achieve a goal if there is no deadline to fulfilling it? A goal without a timeline is just a fantasy. Imagine how much homework you would have missed in School if you weren’t given a deadline.

We all have dreams of earning a lot of money and being able to provide health wealth and security for our entire family. Setting goals for your home business can help you to achieve those dreams, but you should remember to be SMART about the way you approach them.  The next time you start thinking about what you would like to achieve in your personal life, and in your business, before doing anything else, think about this five step process of goal setting, then write down your goals the good old fashioned way – with a pen and paper. Doing this will ensure that you set up each and every goal in the best possible way.

The results you acheive from setting SMART goals will be EXACTLY the results you were hoping for!

I’m betting you’re exactly the kind of person I’m looking for, and you’re exactly the kind of person who can achieve this.

Fire your boss! Leave your job and you can become your own boss. An entrepreneur. A business owner. All it takes is desire, the drive to succeed, and the discipline to create and follow a plan of action.  I’ve done it, and so have many, many others. What do all of these things all have in common:

1)Winning the Powerball Lottery
2)Being the retired CEO of a Fortune 500 Company
3)Inheriting your grandfathers fortune

There may be a few similarities, but what we’re interested in is that all of these sources of wealth provide you with income that you won’t have to continuously work for, day after day. You could take the money and run, so to speak!

I understand, sometimes it’s difficult to picture yourself in the home, or in the ride of your dreams (how about a Ferrari). It may seem out of your reach to think about shopping on Rodeo Drive and never having to clip another coupon, or buy your wife a pair of shoes at a discount shoe store.  But, a major component of being a winner and the leader that others strive to emulate is allowing your self to dream big, and sincerely believe in those dreams. It’s a fact that people whose dreams are bigger than life achieve better results than people who dream small, or don’t allow themselves to dream at all. It’s a travesty that many people are incapable of imagining a happier life for themselves and their loved ones.
